 es and envision the future of HCI\, particularly in the Global South. This
  year’s theme: “Building a Collective Vision for the Future.”\n🚨

 bmission Form\nAbout HCI Across Borders\n\nHCI Across Borders (HCIxB) is a
  global community that has flourished over eight years of dedicated effort
 s to connect researchers and practitioners from diverse cultures and geogr
 aphies. Originally conceived as the Development Consortium at CHI 2016 and
  continued through workshops from CHI 2017 to 2023\, HCIxB has since evolv
 ed into a collaborative initiative with a shared mission: to foster commun
 ity across boundaries—be they geographical\, cultural\, methodological\,
  or beyond. This year\, our goal is to reflect on our decade-long journey\
 , provide mentoring opportunities for early-career researchers\, and colla
 boratively envision the future of HCI.\n\nTheme: HCI Across Borders (HCIxB
 ): Building a Collective Vision for the Future\n\nAt CHI 2025\, we are exc
 ited to host the HCIxB: Building a Collective Vision for the Future worksh
 op\, which will provide a unique platform for presenting HCI-related work 
 and initiatives from global communities to a worldwide audience. This work
 shop will focus on reflecting on global challenges and critically assessin
 g the role of technology design in this context.\n\nWe invite participants
  to share how global challenges have influenced their research\, practice\
 , or education\, and to contribute to broader discussions about the future
  of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)\, with a particular focus on the Glob
 al South. We will also support remote attendance.\n\nSubmissions\n\nWe inv
 ite participants to submit position papers (300-500 words\, PDF format pre
 ferred) on the link below\, reflecting on a range of topics related to HCI
  trends\, lessons learned\, and the opportunities for the next two decades
 . Submissions should address some of the following questions:\n\n 	Global 
 HCI Trends: How has your research or practice in HCI been influenced by lo
 cal\, cultural\, social\, or political contexts\, particularly in the Glob
 al South? What unique challenges and opportunities have emerged in your re
 gion?\n 	Future of HCI in the Global South: How do you envision the role o
 f HCI in the Global South over the next 20 years? What key developments\, 
 technologies\, or approaches do you foresee shaping this future?\n 	Collab
 oration and Community Building: What strategies do you suggest to strength
 en collaboration and community building among HCI researchers across borde
 rs\, especially in regions with limited resources or representation?\n 	Su
 staining the HCIxB Community: How do you see the HCIxB community growing a
 nd sustaining itself in the coming years? What are your ideas for global f
 eeder events or activities that could contribute to the community’s grow
 th?\n 	Workshop Impact: How do you think attending the HCIxB 2025 workshop
  will benefit your work and the communities you hope to connect with?\n 	P
